Back Again

Hi!
Everyone,

It's been almost two years now since I last posted anything in my blog.
There are so many things to learn in my life. I still need a lot of time and effort for self study.

But, finally I'm back with more experience and topics. I shall try to share few good topics for everyone. Hope you all like it.

Soon, I shall post some interesting topics..... related to Programming, System, Linux and Networking.

  1. I have a query about the BSNL modem(router) configuration as you posted at:
    http://prabindatta-myownblog.blogspot.in/2011/06/how-to-configure-network-connection-in.html

The modem(router) provides DHCP access, so it can automatically configure the connection, each time you connect the PC (using ethernet at least) while the modem is connected to the DSL network & powered on. Provided you previously configured the modem(router) rightly using BSNL provided UserID & password using the router administration web interface.

I got the idea reading all the manuals (not device specific) came with the router (in the accompanied CD).

I never failed, only the usual feedback as gained in MS Windows will be missing. I have no problem with that as I keep a good watch regularly at the modem(router) indicators & the XFCE Network Monitor plugin.

    Am I doing any wrong...!!
